When Mark and I first looked at Sutton Valence School (SVS) for Clayton, there was no doubt this was his school. There was not a day Clayton did not have Fun, Live, Love and Laugh. I will be forever grateful to the commitment and support given to Clayton while he attended, and now.
In November, SVS rallied together in a remarkable display of solidarity, raising an impressive £1,587 during their Movember fundraising efforts. In addition, SVS also donated a substantial £4,107 in December from their Sponsored Walk, further bolstering efforts to honour Clayton's memory and promote heart screen in young people. Together, these contributions amount to an astounding £5,694 towards the memorial fund—a testament to the compassionate spirit and generosity of the SVS community.
The impact of these funds extends far beyond mere numbers. They serve as a lifeline for the annual CRY cardiac screening event at SVS, where 200 young people are screened annually for potential cardiac abnormalities. This vital initiative not only saves lives but also provides peace of mind to countless families who may otherwise live in fear of the unknown.
The ongoing support, dedication and generosity has touched many. For those directly linked to Clayton and those who have been so impacted by the loss of my boy, we thank you. To Sutton Valence School, we thank you for your continued support and unwavering commitment.
